Challenge
A professional association needed to launch a Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) agenda that would resonate with both employees and external stakeholders. The challenge was to ensure the messaging was authentic, engaging, and positioned the organization as a values-driven leader in its industry. At the same time, the organization required a crisis communication framework to safeguard its reputation during sensitive discussions.

Approach
I partnered with senior leadership to develop messaging, design internal campaigns, and manage executive communications. I also guided crisis communication planning to maintain consistency and credibility.

Project Details

  • Executive Messaging: Developed talking points, speeches, and leadership communications to clearly articulate the D&I agenda.

  • Internal Campaigns: Created targeted internal communications — including intranet content, newsletters, and employee spotlights — to foster inclusivity and engagement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Crafted external messaging for members and partners, aligning the D&I agenda with the organization’s broader mission and values.

  • Crisis Communications Planning: Built response guidelines and templates to ensure consistent and credible communication during critical conversations or public scrutiny.

  • Measurement & Feedback: Established feedback loops through surveys and focus groups to track employee sentiment and adjust communications accordingly.

Results
